Customer Personas
Customer personas are powerful marketing tools and we believe they are central to the way you build and develop your website.
A customer persona is not simply a profile of a particular demographic group. A persona is a real person with a name, an age, a job, a lifestyle and a personality. By building personas you can identify the needs of your customers and respond to those needs through your design, content, merchandising, marketing and ultimately your customer journeys.
Wireframing
A wireframe may look like a simple document that explains where each element on a page should sit. But a great deal of thinking goes behind each wireframe before they are finalised and before the creative design can begin.
Before we start wireframing a page, we delve into the mindsets of each customer persona and each of their needs.
We have to ensure that each of these customer needs are fulfilled by the elements that make up the final wireframe.
We also look at the overall purpose of the page. What does this page need to achieve? Do we want to sell product from this page? Do we want to inspire customers and give them a softer sell? Is the page there simply to get customers to indulge in the brand? Each element on the page has a reason for its inclusion and position, based on best practice, previous implementations and research.
Only once all of this has been considered can the building of wireframes begin. And there will often be several iterations before the final wireframes are produced and ready to be user tested with customers.
